Abstract:

Described is a method of preparing sulphated fatty-acid alkanolamides in the form of light-coloured, freely flowing pastes by reacting fatty-acid alkanolamides continuously with gaseous sulphur trioxide and subsequently neutralizing the acid reaction products with aqueous bases. The products exhibit excellent detergent properties.
