Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for preparing a superabsorbent polymer, the method comprising the steps of: supplying to a polymerization reactor a composition containing a water-soluble ethylene-based unsaturated monomer with at least partially neutralized acidic groups, an internal crosslinking agent, and a polymerization initiator, and polymerizing same to obtain a hydrous gel polymer; drying the hydrous gel polymer to obtain a dry body; hydrating the dry body to adsorb water onto the dry body; and grinding the hydrated dry body to obtain a superabsorbent polymer.
