Abstract:
Provided is a general electrolytic polishing method for preparing an electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) sample of a metal material, comprising first pretreatment of an electrolytic sample, then preparing an electrolytic polishing solution containing only perchloric acid and anhydrous ethanol, and finally, using a stainless steel plate as a cathode and the electropolished sample as the anode, performing electrolytic polishing at low temperature and low current. In the method, not only is the device simple, highly practical, and simple to operate, it is also suitable for preparation of EBSD samples of various metallic materials and there is no need to adjust the electrolytic polishing parameters during the preparation process; test repeatability is high and the results of sample preparation are good, and the invention has good economic benefit and value in promotion.
