Abstract:
The present description discloses a means for suppressing a decrease, through oxidation, of the reduced coenzyme Q10 when a solid composition containing the reduced coenzyme Q10 is preserved. One or more embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for preserving a solid composition that contains form II type crystals of the reduced coenzyme Q10, an emulsifier that has an HLB of at least 6.0, and an antioxidant, wherein the method includes preserving the solid composition in a gas phase with a relative humidity of less than 50%. Another one or more embodiments of the present invention relate to a packing that comprises: a solid composition that contains form II type crystals of the reduced coenzyme Q10, an emulsifier that has an HLB of at least 6.0, and an antioxidant; a gas phase with a relative humidity of less than 50%; and a container that encapsulates the solid composition and the gas phase.
