Abstract:
A method for press-forming liquid metal comprises the steps of preparing a melt, placing it into a die and processing it under high pressure. This method is characterised in that the melt is obtained in a remelt preform. When placing it into the die, the melt is cooled down to a temperature at which the phase transition duration is close to zero. The pressure at which the preform is processed is equal to the pressure at which occurs the metal phase transition from a liquid state to a solid one.
