Abstract:
Provided is a production method by which 2, 3, 3, 3-tetrafluoropropene is stably produced for a long time, while suppressing deactivation of a catalyst. A method for producing 2, 3, 3, 3-tetrafluoropropene, which comprises (d) a step d for causing 2-chloro-3, 3, 3-trifluoropropene to react with hydrogen fluoride in the presence of a catalyst, (e) a step e for subjecting the reaction mixture obtained in the step d to distillation, thereby separating the reaction mixture into a first stream that is mainly composed of 2, 3, 3, 3-tetrafluoropropene and a second stream that is mainly composed of an organic material containing unreacted 2-chloro-3, 3, 3-trifluoropropene and unreacted hydrogen fluoride, and (f) a step f for recycling the second stream separated in the step e for the reaction in the step d. In this method, distillation in the step e is carried out under conditions that satisfy a specific relational expression.
