Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a compound represented by formula (1) or the like, said compound being a 2-pyridone compound that is useful as a pharmaceutical product or a pharmaceutical intermediate, with high yield.
A method for producing a 2-pyridone compound represented by formula (1), which is characterized by reacting a 6-benzoyl-2-pyridone compound represented by formula (3) with a sulfone compound represented by formula (4).
