Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING ANIMAL MODEL HAVING COLON POLYP OR COLORECTAL CANCER BY USING INTESTINAL FLORA
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/169198
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing an animal model having a colon polyp or colorectal cancer by using intestinal flora. An animal model, which exhibits a significantly higher colon polyp occurrence efficiency than a conventional animal model having a colon polyp, has been identified by using an Enterotoxigenic Bacteroides fragilis (ETBF) strain, which is human intestinal flora, and a novel mouse model for research on the mechanism of colorectal diseases caused by an ETBF strain has been developed.
