Abstract:
A method for producing a beverage, comprising adding an herb/spice treatment product that has been produced by treating a liquid containing an herb/spice in a closed container under the conditions including a temperature of 100 to 140°C inclusive and a pressure of 0.01 to 0.46 MPa inclusive to a beverage or adding the herb/spice treatment product in at least any one step in the process of producing a beverage. According to the present invention, a flavoring component can be extracted from an herb/spice more easily, and therefore it becomes possible to provide a novel taste as a luxury item.
