Abstract:
A method for producing butadiene, comprising a step of supplying a raw material gas containing linear butene and an oxygen-containing gas containing molecule oxygen to a reactor and then carrying out an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction in the presence of a catalyst to produce a butadiene-containing product gas, wherein the catalyst comprises a composite oxide containing molybdenum and bismuth, and the concentration of a hydrocarbon having 5 or more carbon atoms in the raw material gas is 0.05 to 7.0 mol%.
