Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for producing carbamated cellulose fibers, the method enabling mass production of the carbamated cellulose fibers. [Solution] This method for producing carbamated cellulose fibers is characterized in that, in the production of carbamated cellulose fibers: a pulp sheet including urea is passed between paired rolls at a rate of 300-3000 m/minute and heated to deform the pulp sheet through this heating; multiple pairs of such rolls are continuously provided, wherein precedent one or more pairs function as a drying part, and the following one or more pairs function as a reaction part; the temperature of rolls belonging to the drying part is set to be 80-130°C; the temperature of rolls belonging to the reaction part is set to be 220°C or more; and the number of pairs of rolls is set such that the drying part transit time is 8 seconds or longer and the reaction part transit time is 8 seconds or longer.
