Abstract:
A method for producing a catalyst, which comprises a slurry preparation step wherein a slurry that contains an Mo compound, an Fe compound, a Bi compound and an additive having a decomposition temperature of 500°C or less is prepared; a drying step wherein a dried body is obtained by drying the slurry; and a firing step wherein a fired body is obtained by firing the dried body. The firing step comprises a step wherein the firing atmosphere is heated to a predetermined temperature; and the heating rate in this heating step is 10°C/min or less at least at temperatures that are equal to or less than the decomposition temperature of the additive.
