Abstract:

Provided is a method for producing a coated article, which is capable of producing a coated article having a coating film that exhibits excellent weather resistance with use of a powder coating material. A method for producing a coated article having a base, wherein: a curable powder coating material containing a pigment, a curing agent and a curable polymer that contains no fluorine atoms is applied to the surface of a base, thereby forming a first coating layer that is configured from the curable powder coating material; subsequently, a powder coating material which contains a fluorine-containing polymer but does not contain a pigment is applied to the surface of the first coating layer, thereby forming a second coating layer that is configured from the powder coating material; and after that, the first coating layer and the second coating layer are heated at the same time, thereby forming a coating film on the surface of the base.
