Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING COKE FOR IRONMAKING, COKE FOR IRONMAKING, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PIG IRON
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/043101
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a method for producing coke for ironmaking, the coke having a representative strength of 2.5 MPa or higher, and the method including dry-distilling of raw material coal and a caking additive at a temperature of 800°C or lower. The representative strength is the crushing strength at which the cumulative fracture probability is 63.2% in a crushing strength test performed on six or more pieces of coke cut into a cylindrical shape having a diameter of 21 mm ± 2% and a height of 13 mm ± 2%. The present invention makes it possible to provide a method for producing high-strength coke at low cost, coke having a high hydrogen atom content obtained by said method, and a method for producing pig iron in which it is possible to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide.
