Abstract:
A method for producing a composition containing fucoxanthin, including: a first step in which a water-soluble solvent containing 0-80 wt% of water is added to seaweed and a seaweed component extract is obtained, water and/or a water-soluble solvent is added to make a water-soluble solvent concentration of 20-45 wt% in the seaweed component extract, excipients are also added, and an excipient-containing extract is obtained; and a second step in which, after stirring this excipient-containing extract, the material agglomerated in the excipient-containing extract is recovered by separation as a fucoxanthin-containing composition.
