Abstract:
To reduce the allergic or pseudo-allergic side-effects of X-ray contrast agents, the contrast agent is pre-incubated in vitro with a reactive medium such as human or animal blood protein, after which the resulting reaction products are separated from the contrast agent by ultrafiltration.
