Abstract:
This method for producing dihydroxyindoles comprises: a step 1 for obtaining an aqueous first liquid in which DHI compounds are produced by reacting DOPA compounds and a hexacyanoferrate (III) with each other; a step 2 for obtaining an oil-based second liquid wherein the DHI compounds are extracted in an extractant by mixing the first liquid obtained in the step 1 with the extractant; and a step 3 for obtaining an aqueous third liquid by distilling away the extractant by mixing the second liquid obtained in the step 2 with water. Extraction of the DHI compounds in the step 2 is carried out in a tank A; and after discharging the second liquid from the tank A, the second liquid is supplied to a tank B and the step 3 is carried out in the tank B.
