Abstract:
Provided is an efficient method for producing a fluorine-containing compound that does not require numerous stages of rectifying columns, extractive distillation, and the like. The method for producing a fluorine-containing compound includes a step in which a composition containing at least one mixture of at least one fluoroolefin and at least one fluorocarbon is supplied to a hydrogenation step, said mixture being selected from the group consisting of mixtures in which said fluoroolefin and said fluorocarbon have boiling points that are close to each other, azeotrope mixtures of said fluoroolefin and said fluorocarbon, and near-azeotrope mixtures of said fluoroolefin and said fluorocarbon.
