Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing a fluoropolymer composition, the method comprising a step in which an oxidant is brought into contact with a fluoropolymer starting material that is obtained by polymerizing a fluoromonomer in an aqueous medium in the presence of a polymer (I) that contains a polymerization unit (I) that is based on a monomer (I) represented by general formula (I). (I): CX1X3=CX2R(-CZ1Z2-A0)m (In the formula, each of X1 and X3 independently represents F, Cl, H, or CF3; X2 represents H, F, an alkyl group or a fluorine-containing alkyl group; A0 represents an anionic group; R represents a linking group; each of Z1 and Z2 independently represents H, F, an alkyl group or a fluorine-containing alkyl group; and m represents an integer of 1 or more.)
