Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a method for producing a formic acid, said method comprising a first step in which, in a solution containing a solvent and a catalyst dissolved in the solvent, carbon dioxide and hydrogen are reacted in the presence of an amine insoluble in the solvent and a generated formic acid is adsorbed onto the amine, wherein the catalyst contains at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of metal elements belonging to Groups 8, 9, and 10 of the periodic table, and the amine is a solid-immobilized amine.
