Abstract:
A method for producing a glass article, including a feeding step of feeding a glass raw material 4 from a feeding machine 5 arranged on a front wall 3a of a melting chamber 3 onto the surface 2a of a molten glass 2 that is placed in the melting chamber 3 in a glass melting furnace 1, a melting step of heating the fed glass raw material 4 by means of an electrode 8 immersed in the molten glass 2 in the melting chamber 3 to melt the glass raw material 4, and an outflow step of allowing the molten glass 2 to flow out through an outflow port 7 arranged on a rear wall 3b of the melting chamber 3 to the outside of the melting chamber 3, wherein 60 to 95% of the area of the surface 2a of the molten glass 2 in the melting chamber 3 is covered with the glass raw material 4 that is fed in the feeding step.
