Abstract:
A method for producing a halide according to the present disclosure comprises baking, in a vacuum or in an inert gas atmosphere, a mixture material containing a powder of MOx and a powder of NH4X. M represents at least one element selected from rare earth elements, X represents at least one element selected from F, Cl, Br, and I, x is 1-2, and, when the average particle diameter of the powder of MOx is defined as D1 and the average particle diameter of the powder of NH4X is defined as D2, requirement (a) or (b) is satisfied. (a): D1≤D2 and D2-D1≤0.5×D2 (b): D2
