Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for safely and efficiently producing a halogenated carbonyl. This method for producing a halogenated carbonyl is characterized by comprising a step for radiating, in the presence of oxygen, ultrasonic waves onto a composition containing C1-4 halogenated hydrocarbons having one or more halogeno groups selected from the group consisting of chloro, bromo and iodo, and thereby decomposing the C1-4 halogenated hydrocarbons.
