Abstract:
A method for producing a heavy hydrogen–containing gas having a higher D2 concentration than a mixed gas containing light hydrogen (H2) and heavy hydrogen (D2) by bringing the mixed gas into contact with a gas adsorbent containing a metal complex, and utilizing the property that the adsorbability of D2 gas on the metal complex is higher than the adsorbability of H2 gas, wherein the metal complex is one or more selected from a group of metal carbonyls represented by a specific chemical formula.
