Abstract:
A method for industrially producing a high-purity diaryl carbonate, the method comprising: a first refining step for continuously introducing a mixture containing a diaryl carbonate to a refining column A that has a side-cut discharge port and continuously separating, through distillation, the mixture into a column peak component (At), a side-cut component (As) including the diaryl carbonate, and a column bottom component (Ab) including a catalyst; and a second refining step for continuously introducing the side-cut component (As) to a diaryl carbonate refining column B that has a side-cut discharge port and continuously separating, through distillation, the component into three components which are a column peak component (Bt), a side-cut component (Bs), and a column bottom component (Bb) to obtain a high-purity diaryl carbonate as the side-cut component (Bs).
