Abstract:
Provided are: a method for producing a hydrocarbon whereby the hydrocarbon can be efficiently produced using a biomass while minimizing a loss in a carbon source; and a method for producing a biocrude. A method for producing a biocrude, said method comprising: a mixing step for mixing a biomass with a solvent containing an oxygen-containing aromatic compound to give a mixture; and a solvolysis step for heating the mixture to 190-250°C to thereby solvolyze the mixture.
