Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING HYDROGEN FLUORIDE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/004715
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel method for producing hydrogen fluoride, wherein various calcium fluoride sources can be used and occurrence of a second paste state can be effectively prevented.
Specifically disclosed is a method for producing hydrogen fluoride by reacting calcium fluoride with sulfuric acid, which comprises: a step (a) wherein calcium fluoride particles having an average particle diameter of 1-40 μm and sulfuric acid are mixed and reacted at a sulfuric acid/calcium fluoride molar ratio of 0.9-1.1 at a temperature of 0-70˚C, thereby obtaining a solid reaction mixture; and a step (b) wherein the solid reaction mixture is heated to a temperature of 100-200˚C and reacted, thereby producing hydrogen fluoride in a gas phase.
