Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a knit bag that has no or few seams, has a gusset, and has a flat bottom. This method for producing a knit bag comprises (1) weaving a bag body and (2) opening an interior space in the bag body so as to endow the bag body with a predetermined thickness, thereby shaping the bag body into a predetermined shape that has a gusseted cylindrical trunk and a flat bottom continuous with a lower end edge of the trunk. The bag body that is knitted in (1) comprises a cylindrical first portion that has a first lower section and a first upper section, and a cylindrical second portion that has a second lower section and a second upper section. The first portion has gradually fewer stitches going from the first upper section to the first lower section, the first lower section being closed. In the second portion, the second lower section is continuous with the first upper section, and the second upper section is open.
