Abstract:
A method for producing a magnesium compound, wherein at least one of magnesium metal, an alcohol, and iodine is mixed with a fluorinated alcohol represented by formula (1) and a solvent to thereby form a magnesium precursor represented by formula (2), and a solvent containing the magnesium precursor is mixed with borane and a fluorinated alcohol to thereby form a magnesium compound represented by formula (3). Formula (1): (R1)3COH (Each of the three R1 is one of hydrogen, fluorine, an alkyl group, and a fluorinated alkyl group. However, at least one of the three R1 is one of fluorine and a fluorinated alkyl group.) Formula (2): Mg[OC(R2)3]2 (Each of the six R2 is one of hydrogen, fluorine, an alkyl group, and a fluorinated alkyl group. However, at least one of the six R2 is one of fluorine and a fluorinated alkyl group. Formula (3): Mg[B(OC(R3)3)4]2 (Each of the 24 R3 is one of hydrogen, fluorine, an alkyl group, and a fluorinated alkyl group. However, at least one of the 24 R3 is one of fluorine and a fluorinated alkyl group.)
