Abstract:
The present invention is a method for producing a maleimide polyethylene glycol derivative which comprises a reaction step for de-protecting a maleimide polyethylene glycol derivative having a protective group by heating in a solvent and in the presence of silica gel. The present invention makes it possible, when de-protecting a maleimide polyethylene glycol derivative having a protective group, to suppress deterioration of a maleimide group and to produce a maleimide polyethylene glycol derivative which has a high maleimidization rate.
