Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a micronized hydrophobically modified cellulose fiber, the method comprising a step for micronizing, in an organic solvent, a hydrophobically modified cellulose fiber that has an average fiber length of from 1 µm to 1,000 µm and in which a modifying group is bonded to an anionically modified cellulose fiber including an anionic group. The micronized hydrophobically modified cellulose fiber obtained by the production method according to the present invention can suitably be used for various resin products for various industrial uses, such as everyday goods, home appliance components, packaging materials for home appliance components, and automobile components.
