Abstract:
In the present invention, a modified conjugated diene-based polymer is produced using a production method that includes a step for reacting a conjugated diene-based polymer having an active terminal with a compound [M]. The conjugated diene-based polymer having an active terminal is obtained by polymerizing a monomer including a conjugated diene compound in the presence of a polymerization initiator that contains an alkali metal compound and/or an alkaline earth metal compound. The compound [M] has a functional group F1, a functional group F2 and a functional group F3, and does not have an active hydrogen. F1 is a functional group such as "*1-C(=E)-O-" (*1 denotes a bond to a carbon atom that constitutes a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond in a chain-like structure or ring-like structure, or a bond to a tertiary carbon atom), F2 is a functional group such as "-C(R7)=N-", and F3 is a functional group such as "-Si(R8)2(OR9)".
