Abstract:
This method for producing modified wood comprises: a step for impregnating block-shaped wood with an organic acid aqueous solution containing an organic acid; a step for steam-treating the block-shaped wood, which has been impregnated with the organic acid aqueous solution and is in a wet state, at a high temperature and under a high pressure; and a step for drying the steam-treated block-shaped wood and then heating the same in an inert atmosphere, wherein the temperature during heating in the inert atmosphere is 110-180ºC.
