Abstract:
A method for producing a moth-eye mold (100) is a method for producing a mold that has an inverted moth-eye structure on the surface, said method comprising: a step (a) for preparing a mold base (10), which includes a step (a1) for preparing a metal base (72m) having a surface that diffuses and reflects visible light, a step (a2) for forming an organic insulating layer (13) on the surface of the metal base (72m) by an anionic electrodeposition method, and a step (a3) for forming an aluminum alloy layer (18) on the organic insulating layer (13); a step (b) for forming a porous alumina layer (20) having a plurality of fine recessed portions (22) by partially anodizing the aluminum alloy layer (18); a step (c) for enlarging the plurality of fine recessed portions (22) by bringing the porous alumina layer (20) into contact with an etching liquid; and a step (d) for growing the plurality of fine recessed portions (22) by additional anodic oxidation.
