Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a method for producing a multilayer film which comprises a layer containing a light emitting material that has high emission efficiency and a long emission lifetime, while being able to be reduced in production cost; and the like. The present invention is a method for producing a multilayer film 10 which comprises a layer that contains a light emitting material. This method for producing a multilayer film 10 comprises: a step A for forming a first coating film 30 on a substrate 20 in the atmospheric environment with use of a coating liquid A that contains the light emitting material; a step B for forming a second coating film 40 on the first coating film 30 in the atmospheric environment after the step A with use of a coating liquid B that is different from the coating liquid A; and a step C for performing drying in the atmospheric environment after the step B. The coating liquid B contains an organic compound which has a highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) level of -5.0 eV or less, or an inorganic material or metal complex of an element that is selected from among elements of the first to third rows in group 1 or 2 of the periodic table of the elements, elements in groups 3 to 18 of the periodic table of the elements, lanthanoids and actinoids.
