Abstract:
A method for producing a multilayer recording medium by forming two recording layers on a base material (D) while sandwiching a spacer layer. At the time of forming the spacer layer between a first recording layer and a second recording layer (L1) counting from the incident direction of a laser beam, the base material (D) on which the recording layer (L1) is formed is secured onto a turntable (12) by elastically deforming for chucking a rubber chuck (14) which can close the central fixing hole (1a) of the base material (D) by elastically deforming at least in the radial direction. After dripping a coating liquid (R) for forming the spacer layer to the vicinity of boundary between the circumferential surface of the rubber chuck (14) and the base material (D), a stamper (21) for forming the first recording layer is chucked by means of the rubber chuck (14) while covering the basic material (D) and spin coated with the coating liquid (R) by turning the turntable (12). A spacer layer of uniform film thickness can thereby be formed while preventing mixture of bubbles without increasing the manufacturing cost.
