A method for producing a compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein R1 represents a protecting group for an amino group, R2, R3, and R4 each independently represent H, OH, an alkenyl group which may be substituted, or an alkoxy group, X represents a halogen-substituted organic group, and R5' is H), an enantiomer thereof, a mixture thereof, or a salt thereof, characterized by comprising reacting a compound represented by general formula (II) (wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4 have the same meanings as described above, and R5 represents OH, an alkylcarbonyloxy group, or an alkoxy group) with XCOOH (X has the same meaning as described above) or a reactive derivative thereof, thereby introducing a carbonyl derivative group represented by XCO (X has the same meaning as described above) at the β-position of the compound.
