Abstract:
To provide: an industrially useful method for producing a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic derivative which has xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity and is useful as a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for diseases caused by an abnormal serum uric acid level; and a production intermediate for the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic derivative.
By using a compound represented by formula (1), a compound represented by formula (2) or a salt thereof can be produced with high yield and high purity.
(In formula (1), R1 represents a hydrogen atom or the like; R2 represents a hydroxy group or the like; Y represents a CX4 group or the like; X5 represents a chlorine atom or the like; and each of X1, X2, X3 and X4 independently represents a halogen atom or the like.)
