Abstract:
A method for producing an optically active cyclopropane carboxylic acid ester compound represented by formula (4), said method being characterized in that a diazoacetic acid ester represented by formula (2) and a compound represented by formula (3) are reacted in the presence of an asymmetric copper complex which is obtained by reacting a copper compound with an optically active salicylideneaminoalcohol compound represented by formula (1). (In formula (1), R1 represents an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, or the like; R2 represents a hydrogen atom or the like; R3 and R4 each represents a hydrogen atom or the like; and * represents the asymmetric center.) N2CHCO2R5 (2) (In formula (2), R5 represents an alkyl group having 1-15 carbon atoms, or the like.) (In formula (3), R6 represents an alkyl group having 1-15 carbon atoms, or the like.) (In formula (4), R5, R6 and * are as defined above.)
