 A method for producing a compound (4), the method comprising reacting a compound (1) with hydrogen gas in an inert solvent in the presence of a specific chiral ligand and a ruthenium catalyst, or in the presence of the chiral ligand and a chiral transition metal complex catalyst generated in advance from a ruthenium catalyst.
