Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a simple and extremely efficient method for producing an organic compound by the enzyme method with which it is possible to bond in a desired bonding direction. [Solution] A method for producing an organic compound, characterized in that the method comprises a step for preparing an arbitrary compound and a nucleophilic compound and a step for bringing the arbitrary compound into contact with the nucleophilic compound in the presence of an enzyme or enzyme group having activity in terms of thioesterification of the arbitrary compound, wherein the nucleophilic compound is one that bonds by nucleophilic attack of the thioester moiety of the arbitrary compound.
