Abstract:
This method for producing a polycarbonate diol includes a step for obtaining a polycarbonate diol by subjecting a dihydroxy compound and a carbonic acid ester as raw material monomers to polycondensation by means of a transesterification reaction in the presence of a transesterification catalyst. The transesterification catalyst includes: a transesterification catalyst A1, which contains at least one type of metal (M1) selected from the group consisting of metals belonging to groups 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 of the long-form periodic table; and a transesterification catalyst A2, which contains at least one type of metal (M2) selected from the group consisting of metals belonging to groups 1 and 4 of the long-form periodic table.
