Abstract:
Provided are: a method for producing a polymer dispersion liquid which is for a solid electrolytic capacitor and with which a solid electrolytic capacitor having more electrostatic capacitance and less equivalent series resistance can be obtained; and a method for producing a solid electrolytic capacitor using the polymer dispersion liquid. This method for producing a polymer dispersion liquid for a solid electrolytic capacitor comprises: a step (1) for polymerizing a monomer that is to be a constitutional unit of a conjugated conductive polymer in a solution containing at least one of a polyanion and seed particles having been converted into colloid protected by a polyanion, to obtain a polymer-containing solution; a step (2) for subjecting the polymer-containing solution to a first dispersion process to obtain a dispersion liquid (a); and a step (3) for adding an electrical conductivity improver to the dispersion liquid (a) and subjecting the resulting dispersion liquid to a second dispersion process to obtain a dispersion liquid (b).
