Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE AQUEOUS DISPERSION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/085470
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method which is for producing a polytetrafluoroethylene aqueous dispersion, and by which the amount of a fluorine-based oligomer produced as a by-product is reduced and the CFT of a film to be formed is great. A method for producing a polytetrafluoroethylene aqueous dispersion includes: step A1 for polymerizing a non-fluorine-based monomer in an aqueous medium to obtain a solution 1 containing a polymer containing a unit based on a non-fluorine-based monomer; step A2 for polymerizing tetrafluoroethylene in the solution 1 without substantially adding a surfactant to the solution 1 to obtain an aqueous emulsion containing polytetrafluoroethylene particles, and step A3 for adding a nonionic surfactant to the aqueous emulsion and then concentrating the aqueous emulsion to obtain a polytetrafluoroethylene aqueous dispersion, wherein the amount of the non-fluorine-based monomer used is at most 200 mass ppm with respect to the amount of tetrafluoroethylene supplied to a polymerization system.
