Abstract:
Provided is a method for efficiently producing a polyvalent glycidyl compound by oxidizing a polyvalent allyl compound using hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizing agent. A method for producing a polyvalent glycidyl compound in which the carbon-carbon double bonds of the allyl groups of a polyvalent allyl group having at least three allyl groups are epoxidated using aqueous hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizing agent, wherein said method for producing a polyvalent glycidyl compound is characterized in that an epoxidation reaction is performed in one step, and the reaction is stopped when the ratio of hydrolyzate (rate of hydrolysis) of a produced glycidyl group is within a range of 0.5 to 10%.
