Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing propylene efficiently from propanol containing a large amount of water. A method for producing propylene according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a dehydration reaction step for using a catalyst containing silica alumina in which the content of SiO2, as a mole ratio with respect to Al2O3, is 3-80 to dehydrate a raw material containing propanol and water, and comprises a step for firing the catalyst containing the silica alumina at a firing temperature of 400-950°C.
