Abstract:
Provided are: a method which is for producing a pulp sheet and by which moisture content can be sufficiently lowered before a dryer part; and a dehydration improver for a pulp slurry. This method for producing a pulp sheet involves causing a pulp slurry to pass through a wire part, a press part, and a dryer part to dehydrate the pulp slurry, wherein the pulp slurry contains an ether-type nonionic surfactant. Moreover, this dehydration improver for a pulp slurry contains an ether-type nonionic surfactant, wherein the ether-type nonionic surfactant is a homopolymer of polyoxypropylene, or a copolymer having a polyoxyethylene chain and a polyoxypropylene chain in a structural unit, and the content of the polyoxypropylene chain in the copolymer is at least 85 mass%.
