Abstract:
This method for producing a purified 2-cyanoacrylic ester comprises: for example, a water-washing step in which water is brought into contact with a treated liquid (an organic liquid containing a crude 2-cyanoacrylic ester and an organic solvent) obtained through a step of synthesizing a 2-cyanoacrylic halide by reacting 2-cyanoacrylic acid with an electrophilic halogenating agent in an organic solvent, a step of synthesizing a 2-cyanoacrylic ester by reacting the 2-cyanoacrylic halide with a compound having an alcoholic hydroxyl group or a phenolic hydroxyl group, and a step of performing bubbling by introducing an inert gas into a reaction solution obtained by the esterification step; a solvent removal step in which the solvent and water are removed from an organic layer collected in the water-washing step; and a step in which the 2-cyanoacrylic ester is brought into contact with an ion exchange resin.
