Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a radial conjugated diene polymer, comprising polymerizing a monomer mixture containing at least a conjugated diene compound using an alkali-metallated aromatic compound having three or more carbon atoms directly bonded to an alkali metal atom and an aromatic ring per molecule as a polymerization initiator. Further disclosed is a method for producing an end-modified radial conjugated diene polymer, comprising reacting a modifying agent with a polymer having an active end obtained by this method, wherein the modifying agent can react with the active end of the polymer. Accordingly, a method for producing a radial conjugated diene polymer, which gives a high degree of freedom of designing the polymer, and with which the structure of the polymer is easily controlled, can be provided.
