Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a resin composition stably at high productivity. Specifically, provided is a method for producing a resin composition for melt-kneading a thermoplastic resin having a transition temperature of less than 200°C and a powder using a twin-screw extruder wherein, in the method for producing a resin composition, the powder is one or more powders selected from the group comprising inorganic fillers having an apparent density of 0.1-1.5 g/mL and thermoplastic resin powders having an apparent density of 0.1-1.0 g/mL and a transition temperature of 200°C or higher, the thermoplastic resin having a transition temperature of less than 200°C is fed from a supply port to a twin-screw extruder, the powder is fed from a gravimetric feed to the twin-screw extruder through a screw-type side feeder, the carrying capacity of the screw-type side feeder is two times or more the effective volume of the powder per unit time, melt-kneading is conducted under conditions such that the resin pressure of a first kneading zone in the twin-screw extruder is 1 MPa or higher and the resin pressure of a second kneading zone is less than 3 MPa, and gas is removed from a vent port.
